Baseball SA Heat Rule – Season 2009/2010
SENIOR HEAT POLICY:
If the forecast temperature at 7 am on the morning of competition is 37 degrees or above
as broadcast on any Radio Station (AM or FM), then the following game limitations shall apply to all senior games.
DIVISION 1, 2 and 3:
7 innings or 120 minutes. Mercy Rule to apply – 10 runs in front after 5 innings or 90 minutes.
DIVISION 4:
5 innings or 90 minutes. Mercy Rule to apply – 10 runs in front after 75 minutes.
DIVISION 5, 6, and 7
5 innings or 90 minutes. Mercy Rule to apply – Maximum of 7 runs can be scored in any one innings.
JUNIOR HEAT POLICY
All junior baseball (Little League, U14, U16, U18) will be cancelled if the forecast temperature at 7am the morning
of competition is 37 degrees or above as broadcast on Radio (AM or FM). Cancelled rounds will not be re-scheduled.
